Coastal and Dune Reclamation

After construction of a coastal marina to the south, the sandstone cliffs to the north began eroding at a rapid rate endangering property and public. KSM along with the Ashkelon Corporation and engineering staff rebuilt the collapsed sea cliffs using a combination of limestone boulders, native plants, and a sea wall "protection blanket" at the foot of the cliff filled with dredged sand feed as a slurry. A sand seeding program was initiated from the marina dredge and a new public promenade built at the top of the sea cliffs.
